Gallo, Joey

A standout slugger from Bishop Gorman High School in Nevada, Gallo was a first round pick in the 2012 draft to the Texas Rangers. He is considered one of the top prospects in baseball.

Gibson, Bob

Gibson was the World Series Most Valuable Player in each of the Cardinals' two titles during his tenure. The nine-time All-Star added two Cy Young Awards to his resume. He is a member of the MLB All-Century team and was inducted into the Hall of Fame on his first ballot in 1981.

Girardi, Joe

A Peoria, Ill., Legion Baseball alum and Sons of the American Legion member, Girardi won three World Series titles as a player and went on to a managerial career that includes a Manager of the Year award and a World Series title.

Gonzalez, Luis

Named 2002 American Legion Graduate of the Year. Played for Post 248 in Tampa Bay, Fla.
Also served as webcast - color analyst at 2009 ALWS in Fargo, N.D.

Gordon, Alex

The 2015 Legion Baseball Graduate of the Year, Gordon was a member of the World Series champion Royals in 2015. Following a stellar Legion career in Nebraska, he went on to the University of Nebraska, where he won all of the major collegiate baseball awards and earned a gold medal for the United States at the World University Championship. He went on to be drafted second overall in the MLB Draft and has earned multiple All-Star appearances and Gold Gloves. In addition, he was the 2014 Platinum Glove recipient for best overall defender in the American League.

Gordon, Joe

The Portland, Ore., native was part of four World Series wins with the New York Yankees and another with the Cleveland Indians. The nine-time All-Star won the AL MVP in 1942 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2009.

Grahe, Joe

Joe Grahe played for Jensen Beach Post 126. Played in majors for nine seasons. Was named the 1986 American Legion Player of the Year. Attended the University of Miami.

Griese, Bob

Played American Legion Baseball in Evansville, Indiana, and led his team to 1964 American Legion World Series

Gruden, Jon

The youngest coach to ever become a Super Bowl champion, Gruden was also quite a baseball player in high school. The Indiana native played Legion Baseball in South Bend.

Guidry, Ron

Named 1978 American Legion Graduate of the Year.
